History of Tendo Onsen

Open hot water 1911 (1911). After digging a rice field to dig the well for irrigation water, it is conveyed with an opening that a high temperature hot spring has begun to spring out. Because of a geographical advantage blessed with a location and transportation to be almost located in the center of Yamagata and continued developing steadily as a staying base of the tourism in Yamagata. Tendo Onsen has been for over 100 years since it has begun, and it is with one of the hot spring resorts representing Yamagata that is chosen as "100 selections of Japanese hot springs" now.
